Experience
Currently own and operate my own tutoring business called "A Journey to Learning". The business has been successful for two years now and is still yielding new students. I taught at Delaware State University and Delaware Technical Community College, instructing students in ESL, SAT and GED prep. I Home Schooled my three children while stationed in the military. My mission is to help struggling students by tutoring them in the areas where they have "fallen through the cracks" in their educational systems. I am the "Missing Link" in helping them "fill in the gaps" in their educations. I have successfully tutored ten students in the past two years. I have been taking online tutoring certification courses to fortify my tutoring skills.

Hobbies
I am a tutor who believes in team work tutoring. I encourage my students to express their ideas about the subject we are working on. After an initial assessment, where I give an over all general test of knowledge in selected subjects, I go over the results with my student and parent(s) and discuss specific ways to work to improve the weaknesses found in the assessments. We have fun when I tutor, because a positive atmosphere lends to better learning!
